The mortal remains of another superintendent Akash Rao Girepunje in Chhattisgarh’s police police were sent to flames in Raipur on Tuesday after Tuesday after the police officer was killed.
Members of the family and friends who gathered to offer Adieu to Girepunje in Mahadev Ghat Muktidham here, described him as a brave officer who would be remembered by his courage.
The younger brother of the police officer Adrash together with the seven -year -old son of the former set fire to the funeral pyr. Among the present was the prosecutor of the Chief Minister Vijay Sharma.
Police staff admitted the honorary guard of the deceased police officer in the crematorium.

‘Cowardly action’
Mr. Sai described Girepunje as a brave and engaged officer and told reporters that the Naxality had committed cowardly negotiations because the end of Maoism was close. Girepunje was killed and two other officers were injured when IED, allegedly set by Maoists, exploded near the village of Donal on the Konta-Erabor road in a cloth.
