Like a graceful influx of colors and devotion, the Cheru Poorams from the eight participating temples arrived one by one at the Sree Vadakkunnathan Temple, transforming the Pooram grounds into a spectacle of lasting splendor.
Even though the main participants, the Thiruvambady temples and the Paramekkavu temple, decided to curtail the celebrations in the wake of the Mundathikode fireworks tragedy, the Cheru Poorams continued without any dampening in their rituals or festive spirit. As always, it was these sub-processions that filled the Pooram ground with life.
