On Wednesday, a member of the Congress Committee of Congress Chennithal demanded an investigation into alleged inconsistencies in the CRORE 240 GBP to install solar pumps as part of the PM Kusum program.
He released a set of documents related to the fact that the CEO of the Agency for New and Renewable Energy (Anert), which can issue calls for a selection procedure up to 5 GBP Crore, demanded the CRORE 240 GBP. He said that it should be clarified as the offer can be called for such a large amount without the written consent of the government. The private company that submitted the offer was allowed to repair the document after opening the offer and later issued a working order. Most of the contracts were granted for more than double the reference amount set by the Union’s government for the installation of such pumps. Difference in contracts to install different solar energy projects ranging from 2 kW to 10 kW from 1 lakh to 3 lakh. This created an escalation of about 100 crore in the total project costs, allegedly Mr. Chennnithala. According to him, classification was implemented for companies to implement projects without errors. The contracts were also entered to companies that did not qualify in this process.
