On Saturday he believed that Sabarimala witnessed one of the most insolent fraud in the history of Kerala, and on Saturday demanded the resignation of Minister Devaswom VN Vasan and called for a comprehensive investigation under Bench Devaswom.
When Mr. Chennithala addressed the media in pathanamthita, he said that all development in Sabarimale since 2019 violates court orders.
“Ministers, Presidents of the Board of Directors, members and officials who have been dealing with the Devaswom Board since then have been guilty of unlawful conduct and have to face severe measures. All financial fraud, theft and related crimes must be registered as companies and thoroughly investigated.”
Chennithala, who has developed on this matter, demanded the clarity of the agreement between the Travancore Devaswom Council and the entrepreneur Vijay Mallya, who donated the Golden Statues of Dwarapalak in 1999. “As they recorded as copper plates in Devaswom’s records,” he asked.
He asked if Unnikrishhnan Potti gathered a large amount of money for the pretext of gold plating in Sabarimale and asked, “Did the Council of Devaswom allow such a collection?
Among other things, Mr. Chennithala was looking for answers to the circumstances in which the Potti was granted permission to remove gold leaves, despite the clear instructions in the rush of Devaswom and the Supreme Court orders.
“Given the value of gold, proper weighing in removal and return should be made. The evidence suggests inconsistencies in the weight. Who benefits from missing gold?
He also asked why the Devaswom Council did not file a complaint despite the loss of Dwarapalak’s pedestals for almost ten years and why it was not stated in any audit.
Chennithala referred to the demands of intelligent creations, a company that carried out a gold work, demanded where these golden plates were now and whether any case was registered for their theft.
