
Chennameni Ramesh should not be referred to as ex-MLA because he was not an Indian citizen, when he won the Vemulawady elections in the past, said the whip of the congress Adi Srinivas.
When he talked to Mediaperons at the Supreme Court in Telangana after receiving a check for 25 GBP Lakh, as part of a fine imposed on Chennameni Ramesh by the Theangana High Court, Mr. Srinivas said he was fighting for Ramesh was not an Indian citizen who was finally confirmed by HC. 9th December 2024 he issued a HC sentence that said Mr. Ramesh was a German citizen and had no Indian citizenship.
Mr. Ramesh was chosen four times as MLA from Vemulawada. In 2009 and 2010, election elections won the Telugu Desam and in 2014 and 2018 for BRS tickets. Adi Srinivas lost to him three times before won the elections in 2023 on the Congress ticket. Adi Srinivas claimed that Mr. Ramesh was not an Indian citizen.
The judgment against Mr. Ramet was passed by Judge B. Vijaysen Reddy in a written petition filed by challenging the decision of the Union government, which declared him a German citizen. “I would have become a ten years ago if Ramesh’s demands on being an Indian citizen showed as false,” Mr. Srinivas said.
He said that the Ramesha case could be the first of its kind in the world where it became MLA without being a citizen of the country. Mr. Srinivas said he had asked the state government to explore the false demands of Ramesh and initiate crime. He said he would approach HC to restore salaries and other financial benefits that Mr. Ramesh received as a legislator.
