Everything is not lost for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) despite their defeat of five goals on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Friday, April 25 at the stadium Ma Chidambarama in Chennai. Five-time champions are still with the possibility to go through the playoffs in the ongoing edition of the tournament.
After the loss of Sunrisers in ChepaukObviously, Super Kings could not be directly qualified for play -offs. Mrs. Dhoni’s men have to win all their remaining five games in the league scene to have a chance to finish in the top four. But even then they would not be guaranteed a place in the play -off.

If CSK wins the last five games, 14 points will end. In 2024, Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) qualified for Play -off with 14 points. RCBs were locked in CSK, Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on 14 points, but went on an excellent clean speed.
It was also the first time the team with 14 points and seven victories qualified for Play -OFF when IPL had 10 teams in the season. Therefore, CSK can still enter play -off through play -off. However, it must improve their clean run, which is at -1.302, the worst of all teams in the competition.
