Chief Minister Siddaramaiah issued the head of the head secretary of the Medical Education Department to explore the demand for other doctors in Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Science and Mysur research.
The direction was issued in response to a letter to Dinesh Gooli Gowd, MLC that the hospital has reported an increase in patients in the last few days after media reports have died of heart attacks in the Hassan district.
The head of the KS Sadananda hospital claimed that about 250 to 300 patients from the district every day make a line to the hospital as a “panic reaction” to reports of the death of young people.
Some patients underwent control as a preventive step and others complained of less chest pain.
Dr. Sadananda remembered a similar trend after the death of the actor Pueeth Rajkumar in October 2021, when thousands of people came to the hospital for a tour.
He said the hospital has the ability to treat about 700 to 750 patients a day. “If the number rises, it will be difficult for physicians and techniques to handle the patient’s load,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mr Gowda claimed to the main minister that the patient’s cargo in a hospital doubled with a large number of people not only from Hassan, but also Mysuru, Mandy, Chamarajanagar and Kodag districts.
He asked Mr. Siddaramaiaha to put other cardiologists from other districts to handle the situation.
The letter, which was also addressed by the Deputy Minister of DK Shivakumar, Minister of Health Dinesh Gunda Rao and Minister of Medical Education Sharan Prakash Patil, emphasized the need to determine the system of recommendations in which patients showing timely symptoms should be examined in hospitals in districts and taluk.
In finding a deep study on the causes of Mr. Gowda, Mr. Gowda said that massive units of awareness should be carried out in all taluks to spread information about the early symptoms of heart attack, prevention methods, healthy lifestyle and emergency measures.
