As part of a promotional tour for his upcoming film Sinners, actor Michael B. Jordan performed at the NBA at TNT, joined Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley for the live chat Courtside.
The conversation covered everything from the Jordanian film’s experience to his passion for basketball, but it was a perfectly timed, dry-faded question that Barkley, who stole the show. While Jordan discussed the intense process of reviving sinners, Barkley jumped with his face, “Is this the first time you work with this director for the first time?”
The question immediately interrupted the room. Jordan invaded the laughter, followed by the whole panel. Of course, humor came from the fact that sinners were directed by Ryan Coogler, a long -time collaborator and close friend Jordan.
So far, Jordan has played in all five feature films of Coogler. This includes a critically recognized Fruitvale station, Creed and Marvel’s Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. With sinners, the duo is again associated with what morning critics call one of the standout films from 2025.
Michael B. Jordan takes over dual roles in “sinners”
Jordan plays in the sinners in the 1930s against the background of the American South. The story follows their return to their hometown just to find itself drawn into a sinister, supernatural power.
Jordan touched the challenges of playing two characters in the same film. “It was intense,” he said. “You have to give each brother your own voice, their own posture. The dynamics between them were as inner as visual.”
