Chairman of the State Financial Commission C. Narayanaswamy on Tuesday visited the villages in Virajpet Taluk in Kodag and spoke with elected representatives.
He went to K. Baadag, Nalkeri and Kolibetta gram Panchayats (GPS) and reviewed the progress of various government programs. Dr. Narayanaswamy told GPS members to use government programs and seek to develop villages.
During his visit to the HAADIS tribal at GPS K. Baadag and Nalkeri, he proposed to improve the living conditions of people living in the settlements.
K. Baadag GP President Ritesh Biddappa said he was a small general practitioner, K. Baadaga successfully and effectively used funds to develop villages.
The assistant of the director of MD Srinivas said that K. Baadag GP won a prize from the Ministry of Panchayat Raj and the development of the countryside as the best GP. “GP K. Baadag has built more houses than other GPS,” he said.
