President of Aduthurai Town Panchayat Mk Stalin of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) survived on him on Friday (September 5, 2025) in the civil office attack on him. Two others were injured in the attack and were admitted to the hospital.
According to sources, Mr. Stalin was attacked in the afternoon when he spoke to some people in the office. The gang, who arrived by car, threw an explosive and tried to attack him with mortal weapons.
But Mr. Stalin escaped from the attack and locked in a nearby room in the office of the civic body. Two people in Melee – Ilaiyaraja and Arun – suffered injuries and were admitted to the hospital.

When they heard about the attack, the PMK cadres and the Vanniyar Sangam members got closer in the office of Panchayat. They introduced a demonstration at the intersection of Kumbakonam-Mayiladuthurai-Soorianarovil intersections by burning discarded tires and demanded the arrest of the attackers.
The demonstration was withdrawn after the police and income officials were assured by the event and the road was cleaned for the vehicle. Police patrols were sent in Adauthurai to ensure peace in this area, the sources said.
