The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on Monday evening released a link for candidates to enter their options for the third round of seat allotment for engineering and other CET courses. Candidates who did not secure a seat in the second round or those who canceled their allotted seat after paying the prescribed penalty can enter the new options till 6 pm on September 3, KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna said.

Candidates who have joined the college after securing a seat in the second round but want to take part in the upgrade process can enter their options from September 2 at 11 am to September 3 at 6 pm, he added.

Candidates participating in the third round must re-enter their options as previously entered options will not be considered. If the candidate is allocated a place in the third round, admission to the allocated college is mandatory. Failure to do so will result in a fine of five times the applicable fee. Therefore, candidates should only take admission in those colleges and courses that they really prefer.

Candidates who have not selected any option after allotment of seats in the second round will not be eligible to participate in this round. Likewise, candidates who have opted for option 4 in the second round cannot participate in the third round. However, they can attend the second round of medical counseling if they have entered medical course options.

KEA has published details of the remaining seats after the second round on its website. Candidates have been advised to check the availability of seats carefully before entering their options.
