The sale of alcohol in Telangana has seen this holiday season a sharp increase, exceeded 3,000 Crore, and recorded an increase of more than 7% compared to last year. The prohibition and excise duty department said in September 2025 in September 2025 a liqueur worth 3,046 GBP, compared to 2,838 GBP Crore in September 2024.
As far as volumes are concerned, the sale of Indian liqueurs (IML) increased from 28.81 cases of Lakhů in September 2024 to 29.92 Lakh cases this year. However, beer consumption has fallen, while last year’s revenues dropped from 39.71 cases of scraping to 36.46 Lakh cases in 2025.
Officials said that three days leading to the festival recorded a particularly high demand. September 29, the sale of spirits touched 278 Crore, followed by 333 Crore 30 September and 86.23 GBP 1. October compared to the same period last year, sales only 60-80%in three days.
This increase brought a department’s relief, which carefully monitored sales during the festive season, also the main source of state revenue.
