The Central University of Karnataka was chosen as the Institute of Shoke within the prestigious ARF-PAIR program, the initiative of the National Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
The research cluster is led by the University of Hyderabad (UOH), which serves as a hinged institution.
“This is a highly competitive grant, and 100 crore has been assigned to every successful cluster,” said the director of the Research and Development Cell at Central University N. Sathayana.
“The couples program is designed to be faster interdisciplinary research with an impact in the real world. Soldering institutions with significant potential such as Central University, with established, highest research universities such as the University of Hyderabad.
The team of couples at Central University includes 16 scientists working in various areas, including medical sciences, synthetic chemistry, biophysics, traditional medicine, crystallography and health economics. In cooperation with the University of Hyderabad and six other institutions, the team will focus on the main challenges of public health, especially metabolic diseases, infectious diseases and cancer (MIC). Specific target conditions include diabetes, oily liver disease, dengue, malaria, breast cancer and blood cancer.
For progress in the field of biomedical research, the Central University team will closely cooperate with hospitals and medical institutions in the Kalyan Karnataka area. Research initiatives at the university will be headed by Mr. Sathayana.
Vice -Chairman of Chancellor Battu Satyanarayan Central University has expressed her pleasure in the integration of the university into this high impact program. “This initiative is an approach focused on missions that deals with social needs and will help the development of scientific and available health care solutions. It will also strengthen the university’s research infrastructure,” he said.
The Vice -President noted that the university has shown significant progress in providing research in recent years. “Last year, we received almost 5 crore crore in extracurricular grants, including support from the Fund for Improvement of Scientific and Technological Infrastructure at universities and university educational institutions (Fist) for the Ministry of Chemistry. And the innovative ecosystem, ”he said.
