The Congress of the Indian Trade Union (Intuc) will lead a strong protest movement against central and state governments that coincide with the corporate interests and secondary workers, said the leader of Congress Ramesh Chennithal.
In the inauguration of the Conference on the management of the Intuc Thrissur district, which took place on Sunday at the Regional Theater, Mr. Chennithala criticized both governments for trampling work laws and neglecting the rights of the working class.
He particularly condemned the state government led in Pinaray for reducing the number of working days and did not provide minimum wages for workers. Mr. Chennithala stressed that a strong reaction would be mobilized by gathering public support against such anti-workers.
The meeting was chaired by the President of the Intuc Sundaran Kunnathulli district. President of Intuc State R. Chandrasekharan delivered the address of the main speech.
