The Central Empowered Committee (CEC), which reviewed the state of ecologically sensitive Lake Koller, caused an alarm over the gradation of pollution, neglecting infrastructure and unregulated aquaculture, and threatened the future of one of the largest Indian freshwater lakes.
CEC, led by Chandrashekhar Goel, along with Member Secretary JR Bhatt and G. Bhanumathi and Sunil Limay and Prakash Chandra Bhatt, performed a large -scale review meeting on Wednesday (June 18). The panel carried out a two -day inspection, including field visits and consultations of the parties.
During a day -to -day visit to Koller and its surrounding villages, the CEC took note of the complaints of farmers, inhabitants and environmentalists from Dendulurus, Elur and Ungutura Mandals.
CEC focused on the environmental, infrastructure and polluted problems affecting the ecosystem of the Koller lake. The Committee ordered the departments to restore the ecological balance of the region and protect the local living.
Providing your statement as a sanctuary of wild animals, many roads connecting villages and the inner road in the Koller region disintegrated. The Committee expressed concern about waste that still reaches the coller through the drainage of Tammiler and demanded strict promotion of segregation and waste treatment protocols.
The Committee reset to severe contamination caused by irrigation outflows and urban waste waters flowing into the UPPuter – the drain channel of the Lake Koller. The committee, which emphasized health and environmental risks, was looking for detailed evaluation of the Council for Control and Fishing Department.
CEC was also looking for an urgent report on the types of fish grown in a coller; Effects of health consumption of contaminated fish; the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides; and the ecological impact of fish breeding.
Mr. Goel ordered the irrigation department to present a comprehensive report on alleviation of abuse and pollution. Officials stated that 114 drainage stores-47 non-dialed in the 5th contour zone and 67 Za-Zakoni directing untreated waste into the lake.
The Committee was looking for reports on the maintenance of existing roads and problems surrounding the new construction industry within the sanctuary.
City Commissioner Eluru Bhan Pratap said it is under the construction of a wastewater treatment plant for 50 million liters a day (billion). Currently, only 5 billion out of 32 billion of waste water are treated.

The Executive Council for checking the Pollution Council was commissioned to monitor the water quality used in aquaculture, the contamination of local drinking water sources and the industrial discharge to the lake.
The CEC ordered all departments to submit reports on compliance and progress through the district collector. They will be compiled into a report to the Ministry of the Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEF & CC), which is expected to issue instructions for future protection and living policy for the Coller.
The district collector K. Vetriselvi, who coordinated meetings, felted Mr. Goel and members of the committee with scarves and mementoes and acknowledged their commitment to solve the complex challenges facing Koller.
