The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Tuesday (August 5, 2025) urged states to use the India Cine Hub portal to facilitate global film production at local level and also submit a plan to support low -cost cinemas.
At the conference involving information on state and trade unions and mysterious public relations, the State Minister of Trade Unions and Broadcasting L. Murugan said the portal was reworked into a unified system with one window and offers simplified access to film permits and services throughout the country.
“With GIS and common forms, it supports easy business and represents Indian policies friendly to the film led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.
The Minister emphasized the initiatives on the local cinema aimed at authorizing women and local communities through cheap theaters. He said that the main global events such as Waves 2025 and ifi Goa have attracted global talent, increased the Indian creative economy, promoted cultural diplomacy around the world, and seized the creative mind of tomorrow.
He said that the recently launched Indian Institute of Creative Technology Skilling Youth in animation, playing, music and other creative fields.
Minister I & B Sanjay Jaja emphasized the role of cooperation in the State Center in Effective Communication and Development of the Media. He emphasized the rise of digital creators, folk media and the need to strengthen information on the level of districts and setting public relations. He called on all states to integrate with the Press Sewa portal for smoother publishing processes and mark concerns about incoherent responsibilities in media departments across states.
Mr. Jaju emphasized the need to expand outside the metros and support local talent, said initiatives such as India Cine Hub, which support filming and allow creators to monetize content.
The main area of the conference was the sensitization and entry of affected officers of the affected states and the territory of the Union on the Sewa press portal. Another key highlight was the emphasis on the revised portal of India Cine Hub, which lived on 28 June 2024. Seven states and two territories have already completed full integration, while 21 states and six territories were entered through a common form of application.
The India Cine Hub portal promotes mapping a GIS location, the content of industry experts and differentiated workflows for filming, unfilging and incentives.
The conference also discussed the identification of low -density zones using GIS mapping, re -adjusting existing public infrastructure, streamlining licenses through one window and offering incentives and land policy to attract private investment in available cinema infrastructure.
