
Bhongir Chamala Kumar Reddy MP raised the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II II in Lok Sabha, according to Rule 377, and demanded a sanction for the project and quoted how smaller cities than Hyderabad could get the second phase of Metro Rail while Hyderabad is ignored.
He mentioned that the Indian government (Gol) sanctioned Metro Rail projects as projects of a common enterprise (JV) and are under construction in more than 20 cities, and most of these cities are much smaller than Hyderabad. These include Agra, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Indore, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Meerut, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Surrat, Trivandrum.
In 2010, Hyderabad Metro was the second largest network next to Nový Delhi, but is currently 9th place due to the negligence of the previous BRS government. He quoted this and asked the Minister for Housing and urban affairs to consider and sanction the second phase.
Phase and Hyderab Metro Rail, covering 3 corridors (69 km) were built by the government of Congress with 22,000 GBP Crore. Telangan’s government has submitted a Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-LL LOL a proposal covering five corridors (76.4 km) as the SE project of the Indian Government and Telangana for estimated costs of 24,269 GBP Crore, Reddy said.
