The Mediation for the Nation 2.0 campaign, launched in January by the National Legal Services Authority and the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC) of the Supreme Court (SC), is a 90-day nationwide campaign aimed at speeding up the resolution of pending cases through alternative dispute resolution. The government informed Parliament last month that as on March 23, 2026, there was a backlog of 63,95,572 cases in the Supreme Court and High Courts, while 4,86,33,521 cases were pending in subordinate courts.
