The Minister of the Interior of the Union AMIT Shah ordered the creation of a multi -world central team with regard to the growing frequency and intensity of natural disasters in Himachal Pradesh, the official statement said on Sunday (July 20, 2025).
The team will include experts from the National Disasters Management Authority, the Central Building Institute of the Rocee, the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology PUNE, the Indian Institute of Indore and geologists.
At the recent review meeting, chaired by Mr. Shah, the state was observed that the state witnessed the increase in cloudbursts incidents, lightning floods, landslides and torrential collision, resulting in significant loss of life, extensive damage to infrastructure and living and degradation of the environment.
Given the current monsoon season and incidents of floods, lightning floods and landslides reported in various parts of Himachal Pradesh, the central government has already included the Central Central team (IMCT) in advance for the on -site assessment without waiting for a formal memorandum from the state. IMCT is currently visiting the affected areas.
The high -level committee, which is chaired by Mr Shah, also approved spending on 2 006.40 Crore for Himachal Pradesh for reconstruction and reconstruction in areas affected by disasters, such as floods, landslides and cloudbursts during 2023.
