
Minister Union for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw announced on Tuesday that the trade union cabinet approved the manufacturing equipment of semiconductors – developed system in Package Technologies Private Limited (ASIP) – in Andra Pradesh, with investment 468 CRORE and annual production capacity of 96 million units.
A device that will be established in cooperation with APACT CO. Ltd. In South Korea, it will focus on advanced packs of chips for mobile phones, set-top boxes, automobile electronic control units (ECU) and consumer electronics.

Minister Andhra Pradesh, who expresses gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modim, said the project said that this project will significantly support the Indian semiconductor capacity in India. It is a step to create a complete electronic ecosystem in the state, he said.

BJP spokesman Sadineni Yamini Sarma also thanked the Center for the inclusion of Andhra Pradesh in four new semiconductor projects worth 4,594 Crore approved on Tuesday. “This means a turning point for the state in the semiconductor sector,” she said.
“In addition to creating jobs and growth in management, our state will appear as a trustworthy center for future technology in the world. This is an important step not only for India, which will join the global semiconductor race, but also the dominance of this strategic sector,” she added.
