Census 2027: Self-count phase to be held from June 16 to June 30 in Kerala
The “self-enumeration” portion of the house and apartment census, which forms the first phase of Census 2027, will be held in Kerala from June 16 to June 30.
Self-enumeration is a process where the respondents fill out and submit the enumeration plan themselves instead of having the enumerator do it. Self enumeration portal is accessible at https://se.census.gov.in.
The Houselisting and Housing phase will collect information on housing conditions, availability of equipment and household assets. The census questionnaire for this phase (including self-enumeration) has 34 questions, the Thiruvananthapuram district administration said in a district-level census statement on Monday.
The self-listing portal will remain open for 15 days before the house-to-house houselisting operations are started by the enumerator. After the 15-day self-enumeration phase, enumerators will visit households, including those that have opted for self-enumeration, from July 1 to July 30 to collect data.
In the latter case, once the self-enumeration has been completed, respondents should share the unique 11-digit “SE ID” generated during the self-enumeration with the enumerator. After adding additional data and verifying the completed answers, the adder uploads the final data.
Respondents can start entering answers once they fill some preliminary information like State/UT, Head of Household. mobile number, e-mail (optional) and preferred language and mark your place of residence on the interactive map.

Census of the population that makes up II. phase of the 2027 census will take place in February 2027.
