Celina Jaitla’s husband Peter Haag has already started divorce proceedings in Austria, months before the actor filed domestic violence cases against her husband and also filed for divorce, lawyer Niharika Karanjawala Misra, a lawyer from Celina’s legal team, revealed.
According to an NDTV report, Peter Haag filed for divorce in an Austrian court earlier this year.
After filing for divorce yesterday, Celena Jaitly wrote a lengthy post on her Facebook account, claiming that “promises she believed in have been broken in silence” and “the priority remains to fight for my soldier brother, to fight for the love of my children, to fight for my dignity”.

Celina Jaitly’s husband has reportedly filed for divorce after the actor discovered that properties in Vienna were being sold without her knowledge.
In the case filed in Austria, Haag is trying to prove that Celina has no claim to their property. The lawyer further argued that Haag is holding Celina responsible for the breakdown of their marriage. Celina filed for a mutual divorce for the sake of their children, but Haag reportedly refused.
Meanwhile, Celina Jaitley has alleged that she suffered severe emotional, physical, sexual and verbal abuse from her husband due to which she was forced to flee her home in Austria and return to India, as per a PTI report.

The former Miss India claimed in the lawsuit that Haag forbade her to work after her marriage. “The respondent (Haag) is a narcissistic, self-centered individual. He has a hot-tempered temper and a penchant for alcohol, which consistently causes stress to the complainant (Jail),” PTI said, citing the suit.
The 47-year-old actor also cited several instances where her husband indulged in physical and verbal abuse.
Jaitly was looking for a direction for which her estranged husband would pay the amount ₹50 million as compensation ₹10 lakhs per month as maintenance.
