CEC Lines Update: CJP Leaders Blame Govt. on the imposition of emergency, “Even if I am detained, the protest should not end”, says Dipke

The Delhi Police has asked the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to close 57 metro stations from 9 pm on Friday (9 October 2026) to Saturday (10 October 2026), the day of the CJP’s protest, citing the likelihood of “unruly crowd movement to sensitive places”.

On Thursday (Oct 8, 2026), Joint Commissioner of Police (Transport Range) Rajneesh Gupta said on Thursday (Oct 8, 2026) that the frequency of metro trains passing through the stations may also be reduced on October 10 depending on the situation.

The 57 stations include Janpath, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Barakhamba Road, Supreme Court, Indraprastha, Kashmir Gate, Chandni Chowk, INA, Hauz Khas, Azadpur, Jamia Millia Islamia, Shaheen Bagh, Welcome and Rohini West.
