While she was investigating a drug ring in the city, Sleuths from the central crime branch found that a 32 -year -old Kerala, arrested in the case of drugs, continued to function from the central prison complex last year.
This again raised questions about security in the prison complex. How prisoners can use mobile phones despite the most modern jammers is a question that has been chasing the prison for almost a year. During an air raid against this accused, the mobile phone was reportedly destroyed.
On the basis of the probe findings, CCB officials recently confiscated 8.7 GBP Lakh, part of the proceeds of the offense of various bank accounts after obtaining a court order under the Act on Smugglers and Foreign Manipulators (forfeiture of assets) of 1976.
According to the police, Amir Khan was arrested by CCB officials in November 2024 in Amruthahalli and the police received MDMA crystals worth 71 ₹. The defendant was reserved according to the Act on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances from 1985 and referred in court custody and stored in central prison.
However, when CCB recently discovered another drug missile and arrested the salesman, he allegedly admitted that he was adding drugs on behalf of Amira Khan, who worked from prison. Further investigations revealed that the accused received instructions for WhatsApp from Amir Khan and would add drugs to consumers through the “Location of Drop” method.
On the basis of this information, the officials obtained the authority and took Amir Khan into custody, revealing that drug trade money was transferred to bank accounts belonging to his relatives. Accounts have been traced and confiscated money.
CCB officials caused the 1976 SAFEM (FOP) Act and the 1985 NDP Act to seize the proceeds of the crime. The accused questioned the CCB’s move, but was rejected by the court, the sources said.
