CCB arrests fleeing rioter

The women protection wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested a 28-year-old rowdy rapist who went on the run in connection with a case registered at KG Halli police station.

According to the CCB, the accused Pradeep alias Godamatte was arrested on October 14 near the HMT factory in Jalahalli police station limits following a tip-off.

Pradeep is an accused in a case registered under Section 310(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with dacoities, and relevant sections of the Karnataka Control of Organized Crime Act, 2000.

A separate case was earlier registered against him at Bengaluru’s Bagalagunte police station, the CCB said. After the arrest, the CCB prepared a report and handed it over to the KG Halli police for further legal action.
