CBSE opens portal for verification and revaluation

CBSE Portal for Verification and Revaluation.

After missing the original deadline on Monday (June 1, 2026), the CBSE revaluation portal was opened in the early hours of Tuesday (June 2, 2026).

In a post on X, CBSE said the portal is active. She also shared a video detailing how to request verification and reconsideration. The portal is accessible here.

Dear students,

However, several users responded to CBSE’s post on X saying that they were unable to log in and pointed out several other issues with logging into the portal.

On Monday (June 1, 2026) afternoon, CBSE said that the “verification and revaluation portal will be launched soon”, but it remained inactive during the day.

The delay follows severe criticism of the Extended On-Screen Marking (OSM) system being used for marking the Class 12 exams this year.

The application portal was originally scheduled to open on May 29. CBSE later postponed the launch to June 1 to create a “transparent and seamless process”.

When students tried to get scanned copies of their graded answer sheets in early May, they encountered broken pages, faulty payment gateways and blurred or incomplete digital scripts.

To save the system, the education ministry brought in top engineering experts from IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras to audit the vulnerabilities and harden the infrastructure.

Only students who have already requested and received their scanned digital recorders can request a reevaluation.

The CBSE said that when applying for revaluation, a student must provide the exact question numbers and explain online how the answer matches the official marking scheme but was wrongly scored.

More than 4 million students have asked to have their answer sheets checked this year, with a huge number of complaints from students who received lower-than-expected scores in physics and maths.

Following Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s intervention, the CBSE has promised that all revaluation fees will be fully refunded if the student’s marks increase after the review.
