
Some 26 years after the incident, a Delhi court on Tuesday sentenced Central Bureau of Investigation Joint Director Ramneesh Geer and former Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Vivek Pandey to three months in jail in a case related to the controversial search operation conducted on October 19, 2000 at the house of Indian Financial Services Agmar Aggar officer Ashok Kuwala.
The conviction was announced by First Class Magistrate Shashank Nandan Bhatt, who later granted bail to the accused, who had expressed a desire to challenge the sentence.
