The Treasures were dealing with financial transactions worth 24,000 GBP Crore in 2024-25, Minister of Finance KN Balagopal said on Saturday.
The Minister spoke with the media after visiting the District Treasury Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday, which was the last working day of the financial year.
The amount is likely to affect 26,000 GBP when the details of the transaction of the last day are. Since March 29, he was the last working day (March 30 Sunday and March 31, a holiday due to id-ul-fitr), the government set 26 March as the last day to present its accounts, said.
The Financial Department and the Ministry of the Treasury agreed in advance to handle accounts. Only 28 March was processed 26,000 accounts, he said.
