On Thursday (April 24, 2025), the Supreme Court granted a temporary bail to Vikas Yadav, former son of Minister DP Yadav, who in prison in 2002 executes a 25 -year imprisonment in the event of Murder Nitish Katar in 2002 to devote himself to his sick and hospitalized mother.
The bench led by justice, when the eyes allowed a temporary bail until May 8, while ordered Yadav’s mother to move to the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (Aiims) to thoroughly determine her health.
The Board of Directors would be submitted in court on 7 May and the next day would be reviewed by a court to add additional orders.
The Top Court ordered Yadav, who underwent 23 years of actual imprisonment, would be limited to the residential address in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He visited his mother only after she was moved back to the private hospital from Aiims after a medical inspection.
The bench said Yadav would save bail from 1 lakh and certainty. He would have a police station in which his residential address was placed.
The court warned that Yadav would not try to connect with the mother of the sacrifice, Neelam Katar, the main witness of the case, Ajay Katar or other witnesses of prosecution, while on a temporary bail.
The bench ordered the police Delhi and Uttarakhand to provide Mrs. Qatar’s increased security. Mrs. Katara has her home in Uttarakhand, but visits the capital.
Vikas was found guilty of kidnapping and murder of business manager Nitish Qatary, who allegedly had an affair with his sister Bharti Yadav.
