
Irinjalakuda another district session on Tuesday sentenced two people to life imprisonment and a fine of 1 60 500 GBP for the murder of Shine, the Orracle Temple, in the family temple in Korikuzhi in Kaipamangalam, in March 2007.
Judge Vinod Kumar N. found Vijeesh, aka Ganapathi and Jith, aka Kannan, both residents of Korikuzhi, wine under various parts of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC).
The judgment includes a lifetime imprisonment and a fine of 1,000,000 GBP within the IPC 302. The fine will not be paid for further annual prison. They were also sentenced to six months of strict imprisonment and 10,000 ₹ within IPC 143; Three years of strict imprisonment and a fine of 50,000 GBP within IPC 148 and one month imprisonment and £ 500 within IPC 341.
The court also ordered that 1,000,000 GBP from the total fine be paid as a compensation for the victim’s mother.
The murder occurred on the night of March 27, 2007. Shine, the son of a gangadharan, who was a fortune teller Koorikuzhi Kozhiparambil’s family temple, consisted of a composed wall of Sree Bhadrakali Hanuman Hanuman in coorikuzhi when attacked by the accused. According to the prosecution, the motif came from the involvement of Shine in the Action Council, which opposed the violent activities of the accused group. It is said that Shine also tried to stop one of the accused in attacking another member of the Action Council.
Although Shine tried to escape into the temple, he was persecuted and repeatedly rushed inside the temple. The attackers even used a festive sword located near Sanctum Sanctorum to attack Shine. Shine succumbed to his injury on the spot.
Initial investigation was carried out by the then inspector Circle Walappad Circle (CI) MS Balasubramananian. Later it was taken over by CI CS Shahul Hameed, who submitted the first accusation against five accused. Further exploration of Kodungallur CI KM Devassya led to other fees.
