Police Suryanagar, who cracked the case of the body of an unidentified girl found in a blue trunk near the Chandapur railway bridge in Anecal Taluk, Bengalur, arrested seven accused of Bihar and brought them to the city.
They were arrested as Ashik Kumar (42), Mukesh Rajavanshi (35) and his wife Indumati (32), Rajaram Kumar (18), Kalu Kumar (18), Pintu Kumar (19) and another smaller boy. Police sources said all the arrested came from the Bihar district of Nawada.
On the morning of May 21, 2025, a blue trunk near the railway bridge in Chandapore was found. When the police visited the place and opened the suitcase, they found the girl’s body. The investigation later revealed that the late girl came from the village of Belar in the Nawada district in Bihar.
The deceased was identified as Reema Kumari (17), who disappeared from his village on May 15. According to police sources, the girl’s father filed a complaint against his missing daughter at the police station Hisua 23 May.
Police sources said that the main accused Ashik Kumar, who worked in the industrial area of Bommasandra, kidnapped the deceased, brought it to Bengalur, then strangled and murdered it.
