The defendant accompanied the victim when she went outside the campus of the Faculty of Medicine to bring food in the evening crime, the official said.

Cal HC provides BJP permit for protest
On Tuesday, the High Court in Calcuta ordered the Durgapur police office to allow a demonstration of BJP on the spot in front of Asansol Durgapur Development Authority in connection with the case, PTI reported.
The petitioner prayed for leadership to the police West Bengal to grant the opposition party permission from 6:00 to 18:00 to 19 October for organizing a demonstration.
The petitioner stated before the court that the authorities concerned granted a certificate of any objections (night) for the demonstration, but the police still had to give permission for it.
Justice Shampo Dut (Paul) destroyed a petition that ordered the police authority to “act” on the petitioner who submitted a copy of the night before the Durgapur police station.
Police reconstructs the crime scene
On Tuesday afternoon, the police reconstructed the place of an act with five accused and friend of the gangrape gangrape victim in the investigation.
