On Wednesday (September 3, 2025), the Supreme Court postponed the lawsuit of the defending champion Surendry Galing, accused of Elgar Parisad-Maoist Links.
The bench, including judge JK Maleshwari and K. Vinod Chandran, postponed the matter after the next general lawyer of SV Raja was looking for time.
The leader of the advocate Anand Grover, who appeared for Galing, opposed Raju’s request to adjourn and emphasized the pendant of the action since 2023.
Mr. Grover said that Gadling had spent more than six years behind bars, and the fees were not even framed in this case.
The chief Judge Br Gavai published this matter today after the 26th August informed that the judiciary MM Sundresh recited from the hearing of the action on bail.
Previously, a bench containing justices Sundresh and N. Kotiswar Singh was planned.
On August 8, Mr. Grover mentioned this matter before the CJI Gavai at early hearing and quoted his client Gadling more than six years of imprisonment.
“The bail delivery was postponed 11 times at the Supreme Court,” Grover added.
Previously, March 27, the Supreme Court postponed the bail on Gadling and activist Jyoti Jagtap.
She also postponed the petition submitted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which challenged the bail awarded to the activist Malesh Rope.
Mr. Raut got a bail at the Bombay High Court, but the order was to stay after Nia was looking for a stay on the judgment to challenge him before the top court.
Gadling was charged with providing assistance to Maoists and reportedly conspiring with various co -disclosure, including those that have settled in this case.
It was booked according to various provisions of the Act on the Prevention of Unlawful Activities and IPC and the prosecution claimed that Gadling had provided secret information on government activities and maps of certain areas to underground Maoist rebels.
Reportedly asked the Maoists to oppose the activities of Surjagarh’s mines, and encouraged several locals to join the movement.
Gadling also participates in the case of Elgar Parisad-Maooist Links concerning the alleged provocative manifestations submitted to Elgar Parisad, which took place in Pune 31 December 2017.
The High Court said Jagtap was an active member of the Kabir Kala Manch (KKM) group, which during its scene in the Elgar parish Conclave, which took place in Pune 31 December 2017 not only aggressive but highly provocative slogans.
According to NIA, KKM is the leading organization of the Indian Communist Party (Maoist).
The High Court dismissed the appeal filed by an activist-cum-singing, which challenged the order of a special court in February 2022, which refused its bail.
Elgar Parisad 2017 was held in ShaniWowada, the 18th century Palace, located in the heart of Pune.
