Jagtap’s request for bail to be heard in October
Another accused, activist Jyoti Jagtap, also turned to the Supreme Court for bail. The bench indicated that it would consider the introduction of her request in October.
The High Court in Mumbai had previously rejected the request of Mrs. Jagtap bail and decided that the case of NIA was “Prima Facie Truth” and that it was part of a “greater criminal plot”, which allegedly hatched with the forbidden CPI clothing (Maoist).
“We considered the opinion that there were reasonable reasons for the belief of the accusation or accusation of the NIA against the petitioner who has been conspired, attempted, defended and visited the Commission of the Terrorist act as Prima Facia,” the court said.
