
Carlos Alcaraz joined his idol Rafael Nadal on the list of elite list after a hard victory over Karen Khachanov and reached the quarterfinals at all nine ATP Masters 1000.
With this milestone, Alcaraz became the second most important player to achieve the quarterfinals at all nine ATP Masters 1000 events from the 1990 series. He achieved this performance for only 22 years and 13 days on arrival only Rafael Nadal, who completed the ensemble for 21 years and 154 days.
The victory also expanded the perfect record of Alcaraz against Khachanov to 5-0. Rome was the last missing piece in its quarterfinals RSUM Masters 1000 and its composed power at Campo Centrale filled this gap and showed its growing bravery on all surfaces and settings.
Alcaraz was born in 2003 and is the first man born in 2000 to reach the quarterfinals at each Masters 1000 tournament. He joined a significant group of players to reach a milestone before turning 23: Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Marcelo Ros.

Tuesday’s result also called the 75 victory at the Masters 1000 level, achieved in just 98 matches with its consistency and maturity at the largest stages of sport.

Alcaraz will face seeds 5 Jack Draper in the quarterfinals of Rome, who mounted his own return on Tuesday. The British gathered from the one-sided first set to defeat the French Corentin Moutet 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 at the supertennis arena in the Ellafty competition.
Alcaraz leads the drapera 3-2 in their head to their heads, but the British had the upper hand in the last meetings. Draper won 7-6 (3), 6-3 on the grass in Queen’s Club last year, followed by 6-1, 0-6, 6-4 victories in the semifinals of Indian wells at the beginning of this season.
