“I want to congratulate Lorenz for the great week you did. Your first Masters 1000 Finals. I’m sure it won’t be the last time you play at this stadium, in this bike … I’m worried about great things.
“We grew up to play together under 14 and 16 years old. You worked with the same team. I’m really glad to see you in this round that I’m fighting for great things. I know you’re doing great things from the playground and building a beautiful family.
Despite the loss of the finals, Mousetti will reach the best career ranking of the World No.11, when the new charts come out after playing in his first Masters ATP 1000. Jannik Sinner will remain in the world no.1, although he does not play from the Australian Open.
