“I couldn’t practice for a week and found that I had injuries to hamstrings and weaknesses. I needed to listen to my body and make the right decision. On Monday I will have more medical tests and then we will have a better idea of how long I will be out,” Alcaraz told reporters.
“This tournament is very exciting, but things didn’t work as I wanted to be able to compete. It hurts me so I can’t play in Madrid in front of my people, friends and family,” Alcaraz said.
“There’s no easy decision”

“I expect to return to court and start practicing in a few weeks. Rome is still a possibility, but I will definitely be in Paris.
