A 50 -year -old woman was killed and another woman was injured when a tree branch fell on her while she worked on a cardamom plantation in a chakkupallam on Friday. The victim was identified as Sudha, a KG petty resident in Tamil Nadu.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Friday around 15:00. She worked with 36 other staff on cardamom plantation when a tree branch fell on her because of strong winds. Although he was in Puttada rushed to the family health center, her life could not be saved. Another worker, Prabha, was injured and admitted to the Cumbum Government Hospital in Tamil Nadu. The body was moved to the Kattappana Thaluk hospital for post -portal examination.
The plantation area with a high range of cardamom in the last few days has experienced heavy rain and strong winds.
