England Captain Ben Stokes declared himself the best physical conditions of his career when he is preparing for a key home summer, where he is expected to lead from the front with the bat and the ball. A 33 -year -old man will have his return from an injury in a one -time injury against Zimbabwe in Trent Bridge next week before England accepts India in a highly anticipated five -match test series starting on June 20 in Headley.
Stokes was out of activity Since his hamstring was tearing in New Zealand in December. But unlike the past, when he often threw himself back prematurely, the English captain decided to make a more cautious and more measured recovery this time-which believes he paid off.
“I worked incredibly hard on all aspects of everything, from my cricket to fitness and I know I will be in a position when I am back in the field so I can be in the physically best possible shape in which I was,” Stokes Sky Sports said.
Injuries often disrupted Stokes’ career, mainly because of the requirements of his versatile role. However, he still eagerly returns to this double responsibility, and it is convinced that he can again have a significant impact on both departments.
“But as far as my player’s role is concerned, the full sailor, the batting at six, is trying to dominate every situation I find, whether I have a bat or a ball in my hand, what I want to return to the pitch on the pitch.
“I always work hard. My ethos, when I’m injured, is that I come back before I was before I got hurt. I worked incredibly hard on all aspects of everything, from my cricket to fitness and I know I would be in the position when I was back in the field to be in the physical possible state I was.”
The Summer Schedule of England begins with the Zimbabwe test in Nottingham, followed by a series of five matches against India. After the opening in Leeds, both sides will face Birmingham, Lord’s, Manchester and Oval. The Indian team, currently one of the best rated test parties, brings an impressive bowling attack that causes it a demanding test for English ambitions.
Stokes also revealed ongoing interviews with head coach Brendon McCullum on the management of his workload and stay fit throughout the difficult summer.
“I am 33-not to expose to situations where I am outside the field when I do not have to be,” Stokes admitted. “I talk a lot about these things. We talked about how to help me better manage this balance. We worked for so long, we know each other inside out and these discussions were really constructive.”
