
Nearly 90 percent of IndiGo’s flight operations have stabilized, Union Civil Aviation Minister Murlidhar Mohol said on Saturday. The airline is now largely back on schedule, operating more than 2,050 flights today with only a small number of cancellations.
Meanwhile, IndiGo’s Plan B continues to offer passengers a simple and hassle-free process to cancel bookings and get refunds if needed.

The airline said it was in the process of “identifying flights where customers were severely affected and stranded at airports on December 3, 4 and 5” and “will reach out to all such customers in January to allow for a smooth extension of compensation.”
In a statement issued on Friday, the X airline said: “Our aim is to make this (refund) process as transparent, simple and hassle-free as possible for you. We will be compensated, which we currently estimate to be in excess of ₹500 million crowns to customers whose flights were canceled within 24 hours of departure and/or to customers who were seriously stuck at some airports.
What is Plan B? How to request a refund?
According to IndiGo’s official website, Plan B provides passengers affected by a flight cancellation or rescheduling an option to reschedule their trip or cancel their booking and get a refund without any additional charges.

The facility allows affected passengers to rebook their flights or request a refund without incurring additional fees.
Using Plan B, passengers can proceed as follows:
Step 1: Enter your booking details
Go to the IndiGo official website and go to the “Support” section. Enter your PNR or booking reference along with your email id or surname.
Step 2: Edit or cancel the reservation
Passengers can choose to reschedule their flight by changing the date or time, or cancel the reservation and receive a refund.

Why opt for Plan B?
Passengers can check and confirm the modified flight to stop receiving repeated notifications. This option also allows passengers to reschedule to a more suitable flight or cancel their booking and receive a full refund.
It should be noted that after availing Plan B, any further changes or cancellations will be subject to charges as per IndiGo terms and conditions.

Passengers can also request a Plan B only if their flight is canceled, rescheduled to depart an hour or more earlier, or delayed by at least two hours.
Do I have to pay extra for Plan B?
No, there are no additional fees. You can change the time and/or date of your flight or cancel it and process a refund at no additional cost.
How many days does it take to process a refund?
Once processed, the refund will appear in your account within 7 business days. For agency bookings, customers are requested to contact the relevant travel agents and request a refund.
What if you don’t receive my refund within the specified time frame?
In case you do not receive your refund within 7 working days, you can write to IndiGo at customer.experience@goindigo.in.
IndiGo warns of flight disruption in Delhi today
IndiGo Airlines on Monday issued a travel advisory warning passengers of possible flight cancellations due to dense fog in Delhi that has severely reduced visibility in and around the capital.
The airline also stressed that some flights may be proactively canceled to prioritize passenger safety and minimize long waits at airports.
In a post on social media platform X, IndiGo informed passengers about the prevailing weather conditions and their potential impact on operations. “Travel Alert…Due to dense fog in Delhi this morning, visibility has drastically reduced, impacting flight operations. As a precautionary measure, some flights may be proactively canceled during the day to prioritize safety and minimize long waits at the airport.”
The airline previously said it plans to operate more than 2,000 flights across the country today, with daily performance improving from last week.
“Demonstrating continuous operational normalization and stability since the last four days, IndiGo is set to operate more than 2,000 flights today, as per its revised reduced schedule. All our 138 operational destinations are connected and our on-time performance is consistently normal as per IndiGo standards,” the airline said in a statement.
