Renewed friendship after a period of tension
India-Canada’s relations hit the bottom of the rock floor after a potential Indian connection with Hardeep Singha Nijjar in 2023 in 2023.
India refused Trudeau’s accusation as “absurd”.
In October last year, India remembered her High Commissioner and five other diplomats after trying to connect Ottawa with Nijjar.
India also ruled out the same number of Canadian diplomats.
However, the victory of the Liberal Party leader Carney in the parliamentary elections in April helped to reset relations at the start of the process.
