“Today to revive the hope of Palestinians and Israelka and the solution of two states, the United Kingdom formally recognizes the state of Palestines,” Prime Minister Keir Starmer said in a contribution to the X -Social Media platform.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that Australia formally recognized the state of Palestine, but Hamas may not have a role in Palestine.
More than 140 UN members have already been recognized by the Palestinian state, in a break with long -term policy despite the strong opposition from Israel.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced on Sunday that his country is now recognizing the state of Palestinum.
“Canada recognizes the state of Palestines and offers our partnership to build a promise of peaceful future for both Palestin and Israeli state,” Carney said in a statement.
“The recognition of the Palestine State, led by Palestinian authority, seizes those looking for peaceful coexistence and the end of Hamas. This in no way legitimizes terrorism, nor is there any reward,” Carney said.
The Canadian Prime Minister also said that the Palestinian authority provided Canada “direct obligations” on the reform of its administration to lead the general elections in 2026, in which Hamas “cannot play any role” and demilitarize the Palestinian state.
Among other nations, France will be followed by the UN General Assembly in New York this week.
The Gaza War and the wider Israeli-Palestinian conflict are expected to be at the peak of the world leaders’ program at their annual Assembly at the UN General Assembly from Monday.
Palestinians said they hope that at least 10 other countries will recognize the state of Palestiny and join more than 145 countries that are already doing.
34 people killed in Israeli strikes in Gaza
