
As part of the “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan” (campaign without drug -free), Sarada Vilas College of Pharmacy was aware of the awareness in the city of Rally.
This took place in cooperation with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The rally was inaugurated Narasimha, a secretary of the educational institutions of Sarada Vilas. Hanumantachar Joshi, director of Sharada Vilas College of Pharmacy, said that the fight against drugs is not only a legal question, but was the responsibility of every member of the society.
Joshi said that agencies in criminal proceedings received serious information on illegal production and sales of narcotics in Mysur and the surrounding areas and expressed concern that abuse of addictive substances among students has recently increased to alarming levels.
He said this situation is a serious threat to the health and future of youth, as well as for the progress of society, and called on the youth to keep away from narcotics and accept a healthy lifestyle.
Students, faculty and university employees have increased public awareness against illegal production and use of narcotics through labels, slogans and reports. Hundreds of students and teachers of the pharmacy took part in the event.
Malesh, Law College director, Virupaksha Gowd from the Presidential University, Bengalur and others were present.
