
The University of Calicut area in Tendham in the Malappuram district was indefinitely closed with regard to the clash between two groups of students related to students of the Ministry on Friday (October 10, 2025).
On Saturday (October 11, 2025) the edition would be on Saturday (October 11, 2025) that classes will be suspended until other orders. All students hostels would also be closed and the inhabitants were asked to go home. The step was necessary to restore peace and save students from violence, the release said.
This is governed by the conflict between the activists of the Indian Student Federation (SFI) and the front of the united democratic students (UDSF), the Coalition of the Student Union and the Federation of Muslim students, during the elections to the Student Union representing various departments on the area held on October 10. The computer of the vote that started in the afternoon was disrupted by the evening among students. It cannot be renewed even after 19:00 after, VC ordered officials to suspend the statements of the results and to seal the vote. The clash began after the UDSF activists claimed that some ballots had no signature of the chairmen.
