The Union Cabinet (October 1, 2025) approved the opening of 57 new new kendriya Vidyalayas, said the Minister of the Union Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Of the 57 new KVS, seven will be sponsored by the Ministry of the Interior of the Union and the rest of the state government.
There are currently 1,288 KVS, Mr. Vaishnaw said on a media briefing on Cabinet’s decisions.
