Amit Shah celebrates NDA victory in bypolls; says the results reflect public confidence in Modi’s leadership
Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) by-election victories in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry along with the recent municipal elections in Rajasthan and Tripura, saying the results reflected public support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
In a statement at X, Mr Shah said that despite the “lies, confusion and malicious propaganda of Rahul Gandhi and the INDI alliance”, the BJP under Prime Minister Modi is winning election after election.
“The NDA’s victories in the by-elections in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry, as well as the recent municipal elections in Rajasthan and Tripura, indicate that the people have completely rejected the INDI alliance,” he said.
Mr. Shah said that after losing their public base, these (opposition) parties question the institutions after every defeat, but people have recognized this character of theirs.
“Therefore, they have reiterated their unwavering faith in the BJP by giving it a resounding mandate,” he said, congratulating the chief ministers of West Bengal, Assam, Rajasthan and Tripura, Puducherry, besides party functionaries of those states. – PTI
