Sky News Australia presenter Rita Panahi shocked viewers with her strong words. After the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the news channel aired a segment called “Rita’s Take on Strike on Iran”.
Panahi called it the shortest editorial of her career. She said that after 47 years of what she described as Islamist tyranny, the dictator was dead and Iran was now close to liberation.

Rita Panahi used her native Persian to say: “You worthless dog, shame on you, burn in hell.”
“I knew that Iran would be freed from Islamists at some point. I never thought I would see this day in my life,” she said.
The clip quickly went viral on social media, surpassing millions of views within hours.
“Did she know she could be punished for that?” one user wrote.
“Gangs will be activated to fire her from Sky News Australia for saying that,” another user commented.
One user wrote: “That was perfect, Rita!”
“That was bada*s. Protect this queen at all costs,” chimed in another.

“This is absolutely NOT. How Iranians would berate Khamenei! He’s out of touch. Khamenei is not a 9-year-old schoolboy being scolded by his mom to do his homework. We’d be like, ‘F***, you’ve turned into a steak, you little rat,'” another user commented.
Another user asked: “Her outburst reflects the intense emotion and strong condemnation that some commentators feel towards Iran’s leadership after years of its hostility and violence, especially now amid the confirmed death of Ayatollah Khamenei.”
Protest in Australia
Rita Panahi continued her strong anti-Islamist stance. She posted photos on Twitter (now X) of some people protesting the death of Ayatollah Khamenei. Panahi called them ‘imbeciles’.
“Ah, look at the imbeciles in Melbourne mourning the dictator. Here’s some sage advice…if you want to be an Islamist, go live in an Islamist country…even if there will be one less soon,” she wrote.

Social networks reacted to her tweet. Reactions were mixed.
“We seem to be importing so many Islamists into Australia. Once they escape persecution (which is apparently why they want to come here) and are safe in Australia, they suddenly start supporting the Islamists they supposedly fled from,” wrote one user.
Another wrote: “Why are they here? So many Muslim countries to choose from.”
“Seriously, you’re such a traitorous viper rooting for the USA and Zionist p*gs killing their own people. What about the 165 dead girls they killed on the first day of this war, or the 40 women’s volleyball teams?” another user asked.
“I’ve been enjoying your comment from the US for a while now. I didn’t know you were Persian. Of course, you’re probably more Australian than a lot of Australians at this stage. Anyway, I’m glad DJT brought you joy by removing Khamenei from office, congrats!” posted another.
“Rita is Netanyahu’s Australian mouthpiece,” wrote another.
