Aakash Chopra feels that Jasprit Bumurah’s availability for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 could be doubt and feels that there will be no space for the tournament in the Indian team. Asian Cup is to be played from 9 to 28 SeptemberWith India grouped alongside Pakistan, Oman and Sae.
The last look of the T20i Bumrah for India was in the final of the T20 World Cup against South Africa and Pacer is currently part of England Tour. Chopra said on his YouTube channel and said that if Bumrah cuts an oval test, it should be available for the tournament. The former cricket, however, feels that India can go with a team that played in their latest T20i task against England at the beginning of the year.
“Bumhrah, again, availability will be a question. But if it is available, because if it does not play the fifth test, then it should play at Asia Cup, what I think.
If Shami is not part of the tests you don’t see him playing T20is
After a lengthy release due to injuries with shama he returned at the beginning of the year and was part of the Champions Trophy team. Since then, however, shami has been convicted of Indian duties and missed the way to England for the test series. Chopra feels that there is no chance that the Bengal Pacer will be part of the Asia Cup group because it is not part of the test party.
“I can guarantee that Mohammad will not be there, because shama was played just to test his condition and prepare him for the champions trophy. Now that the bus sailed, and if not part of the tests, I don’t see him playing T20 at this point,” Chopra said.
India will open its Asia Cup against the UAE 10. September before Pakistan is accepted four days later. September 19 will end the group phase against Oman, after which the super 4 phases will begin. The final of the tournament will be played on 28 September.
