On Sunday, the Kodigelli police registered a cheating case against the city builder for alleged cheating up to 34 families and from them set out with them with lakhs rupees.
One of the victims filed a complaint said she rented an apartment in a residential complex in Kodigelli from a builder identified as AK Raghu in November 2023 for 26 lakh.
The inhabitants lived there until January 2024, when a group of people came and demanded apartment ownership and asked passengers to relax. The verification revealed that Raghu sold them flats and some of them took bank loans.
Even the bank officials began to visit apartments with the announcement of release citing non -payment of emissions.
Shocked, victims went to the police station to file a complaint, but the police initially refused to state that it was a civil dispute, and allegedly accused the victims for not being properly care for real estate. The victims somehow managed to contact Raghu, who assured them to solve the problem and buy time to refund, but in vain.
The victims organized a protest on Wednesday in front of the apartment requiring legal steps. Few inhabitants were forcibly evacuated and many families live in fear, said the victims and demanded that the authorities concerned to intervene and solve the problem.
