The party announced candidates for three of the four constituents of the Kaimur district – Bhabu, Mohania and Ramgarh.

President BSP Kaimur District BSP Chote Lal Ram said in addressing a press conference: “Today we announce candidates for three constituencies: Vikas aka Lalu Patel of Bhabua, OM Prakash Diwan of Mohania and Satish Yadav aka Pintu Yadav.
He also said, “Candidates for these ralles were announced for elections to the Assembly of 2025 on the instructions of the National President of the Party Mayawati, the central reinforced and Rajya Sabha deputy Ramji Gautam and Bihar in charge of Anil Kumar Patel.”
Lone BSP MLA last switched to JD (u)
In the last elections to the BSP Assembly, he attacked from 78 constituencies and won only one – Chainpur, where Mohammad Jama Khan was defeated by Bharatiya Janata (BJP) Brig Kishhor tied to the edge of 24 294 votes.
However, Mr. Khan later went to the ruling Janata Dal (United) and became Minister of Social Welfare of Minorities in the Cabinet of the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
In the nearby competition in Ramgarh, Ambika Singh BSP was defeated by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Sudhakar Singh of only 189 votes. Mr. Sudhakar is the son of former President of the state RJD Jagdanand Singh.
Later, Mr. Sudhakar was made by RJD candidate for Buxar in Lok Sabha elections in 2024 and gained a place by defeating Mithilesh Tiwari BJP.
When Ramgarh’s seat was released, Bypoll took place in November 2024 and RJD put Ajit Singh, Mr. Sudhakar’s younger brother.
Mr. Ajit, however, lost the elections and came only third, while BJP Ashok Kumar Singh won a slender margin of 1,362 votes over his opponent BSP Satish Yadav, which this time will participate again in the constituency.
In 2020, the BSP was a runner in two seats of the assembly and third in the 14th party.
